Comenzamos a trabajar juntos en Barcelona en el 2001. Desde entonces hemos centrado nuestra práctica de arquitectura en obra pública a través de concursos, junto con encargos privados. Trabajamos con las circunstancias intentando convertir las restricciones en oportunidades. Buscamos respuestas constructivas y conceptuales específicas para la realidad de cada proyecto, poniendo énfasis en el valor de lo cotidiano, la intervención discreta y arraigada al entorno y la claridad constructiva.
Mónica Rivera nació en Puerto Rico en 1972. Obtuvo el título de Bellas Artes en 1993 y el de Arquitectura en 1994 por la Rhode Island School of Design, EE.UU. (Beca RISD). En 1999 obtuvo el Master de Arquitectura (M.Arch II) por la Harvard University Graduate School of Design (Beca GSD). Ha sido profesora invitada de Arquitectura en la Universitat Internacional de Catalunya entre 1999-2002 y profesora del tercer año de proyectos de diseño interior y espacio doméstico en Elisava Escola Superior de Disseny, Barcelona, entre 2001-2008.
Emiliano López nació en Argentina en 1971 y creció en Barcelona. Es arquitecto por la Escola Tècnica Superior d'Arquitectura del Vallès desde 1996. En 1997 Obtuvo el Master "Historia, Arte, Ciudad y Arquitectura" por la Universitat Politèctina de Catalunya ETSAB y en 1999 obtuvo el Master de Arquitectura (M.Arch II) por la Harvard University Graduate School of Design (Becado por el Real Colegio Complutense de Madrid). Es profesor asistente de arquitectura de la UPC en Vallés, ha sido profesor colaborador en la Escuela de Arquitectura de la Univesitat Rovira i Virgili en Reus, en la Universitat Internacional de Catalunya y en Elisava Escola de Disseny. Entre 2004-2007 ha sido profesor adjunto de la Universidad de Calgary, Canadá, como co-director del Programa de Arquitectura de Barcelona. Actualmente esta escribiendo su tesis doctoral sobre el edificio Married Students Dormitories de Harvard de Josep Lluís Sert.

We began working together in Barcelona in 2001. Since then we have focused our practice primarily on public works through competitions along with selected private commissions. Working with circumstance and turning constraints into opportunities, we try to find constructive and conceptual responses that are specific to each project and to each site, putting emphasis on ease of use, discreet intervention within the context and clarity of construction. We currently combine our practice with teaching.

Emiliano López was born in Argentina in 1971 and grew up in Barcelona. He received his degree in Architecture from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, Vallès in 1996. In 1997 He received the Master "History: Art, City and Architecture" from the UPC, Barcelona and in 1999 a Master of Architecture from the Harvard University Graduate School of Design (Real Colegio Complutense de Madrid Scholarship). He has taught at the Univesitat Rovira i Virgili School of Architecture, Reus, at the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya, Elisava Escola de Disseny and from 2004 to 2007 as Adjunct Assistant Professor of Calgary University, he co-directed the school's Barcelona Architecture Program. He is currently Assistant Professor of Architecture at the UPC, Vallès. He is now writing his doctoral thesis on Harvard's Married Students Dormitories by Josep Lluís Sert.
